Snoop Update ’05, the greatest event for developers held on Tuesday, September 27 in Paseo La Plaza was a huge success.

An evidence of this are the more than 1000 professionals interested in learning about the new commercial and Open Source tools for software development who attended the update seminars organized by Snoop which had very distinguished visitors from Argentina and other countries.
Some keynote speakers present at this event were: Adrián Paenza, scientist and journalist; Roel Stalman, Senior Director of Product Management for Oracle Development Tools; Craig Mc Clanahan, Senior Staff Engineer for Sun Microsystems and Lalo Steinmann, Microsoft Architect specialized on .NET Technologies.
Positive news arose from the event. The President of the Chamber of Computer Software Companies and Information Services (CESSI), Carlos Pallotti, was present at the event and announced the “Premio Sadosky”, an award bestowed for developers by CESSI.

And Gabriel Baum, President of the Argentine Society of Computer Science and Operational Research (SADIO) who declared that Gustavo Guaragna, General Manager of Snoop Consulting, would be appointed Chair of the Committee for the Argentine Symposium of Software Engineering (ASSE) which will be held in Mendoza in 2006.
To top it off, we had UMMAGUMMA, the single Argentine band performing a tribute to Pink Floyd in every show. The musicians played Pink Floyd’s music, that legendary band, accompanied by a great visual display that allowed them to offer a first class multimedia show.
The event was supported by BEA Systems, IBM Argentina, Microsoft, Quest Software, Red Hat, SAP, Sun Microsystems, Universo BIT and Oracle. Also adhere: SADIO, CESSI, SOLAR and Asociación Club de Programadores (Programmers Club Association). The .Code and NEX IT magazines were the media partners of Update ’05.
